The Africa Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Network (Africa-RAIN) is a platform for students, researchers, developers, users, and regulators of robotics and artificial intelligence contents and devices in Africa. The network seeks to enhance the sharing of experiences, and development of capacity for deploying robotics and artificial intelligence for sustainability in Africa. The network also brings together various governments, organisations, development partners and agencies for the purpose of ensuring effective coordination and partnership for sustainable development in robotics and artificial intelligence in Africa. The Africa-RAIN is facilitated by the Interconnections for Making Africa Great Empowered and Sustainable (IMAGES) Initiative.
Membership
The Africa Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Network (Africa-RAIN) is based on free membership and active participation.
Governance
The governance structure is based on three layers: continental coordination, national nodes, and local committees. Each country in Africa has its own coordinating team.
