1.) to embark on advocacy, research and public education on varied issues relating empowerment and sustainable development in Africa;
2.) to advance the course of the Sustainable Development Goals and Africa Agenda 2063 through Research, Advocacy, Field Trips, Conferences, Seminars, Policy Roundtables, Workshops, Symposia, Summits, Exhibitions, and Communications through Policy Briefs, Communiqués, Quarterly Newsletters and Social Media Platforms;
3.) to provide a network of experts, practitioners and businesses in the in the field of sustainable development as it affects and relates to communities in Africa;
4.) to facilitate, empower and strengthen the capacity and capability of members and other similar institutions in Africa, by offering technical support in order to enhance the effectiveness of engagement in sustainable development issues; and
5.) to liaise with similar bodies, local, regional and international, with a view to coordinating efforts in pursuit of similar objectives.
